Eating in the RAW!!!

Raw foodists go above and beyond what vegetarians and vegans eat or should I say below and before. Raw foodists  eat only organic, natural, raw, uncooked foods. Nothing processed, packaged, boxed, preserved, or cooked. 

There are many large communities across America that contain raw foodists and they  do not eat anything cooked at all.

I met and made several friends at the RawSpirit Festival in Santa Barbara, June 2009. I was there participating as a Sign Language Interpreter.

In Southern California we are lucky to have a few great resturants that serve raw uncooked food.  Only foods that have been cooked in a dehydrator with the temperature set at 115 degrees. Foods exposed to heat at 118 degrees is dead.

What did people do before there were stoves and microwaves???

I realize we are not cave people, but, when you study the diet of a rich man and a poor man, it's the poor man's diet that is often timeshealthier because it is simple. However, now-a-days even poor people eat at fast food eateries.

History lesson: Rumor has it that Napoleon was greatly lavished with the finest and richest of foods, that often cause pyles, and it was his inability to sit on his horse for long periods that got the best of him during the war.

There are copius books written on eating raw foods. I have about 50 raw food, vegan  and vegetarian books in my library.

I also listen to RawVeganRadio interviews with world famous guests who have lived Raw for 20, 30, 40+ years and are healthy and strong.

Personal story: I remember as a child, we were too poor for milk, and everytime I went to visit my grandmother, I drank lots of milk and everytime I stayed with her, I became very ill with ear infections, sore throat and over all lethargy.

Eventually, the doctors told them I was allergic to milk and I am still allergic to milk and soy products to this day as well as eggs and all dairy products. I get swimmers ear (water in my ears) without going for a swim, I get vertigo, and  I feel nauseated and have to lay down until the ringing in my ears goes away.
