An Introduction to everything legal!

Become familiarized with legal jargon concepts, protocols, rights, Codes & Statutes, Criminal, Civil & Traffic courts, expectations in the courtroom, the trial process, probation terms, and much more.

Each of the 3-modules includes:

a 10-week Course that meets once a week, for a 5-hour class totaling 50-hrs of hands on legal training, with a qualified professional court interpreter with more than  35-years of courtroom interpreting experience.

This course will teach you how the legal process works, starting from the  arrest and police report to  the arraignment proceedings, from the Miranda Act, rights to a preliminary hearing as well as Civil and Criminal Trials. You will learn probation terms and conditions or how a dismissal works.

You will learn the legal language, concepts and interpreting process. 

You will know exactly what to do in every legal situation and have the support every interpreter needs in a legal setting.

Love2ASL Professional Development Center

provides a small classroom atmosphere that is conducive to more individual attention and better learning environment.

You will learn in 3 separate, 10-class courses what others teach in a 2-3 year program that requires a 6-week internship in the courtroom without pay! Love2ASL Courtroom internship has flexible hours and you can come and learn courtroom protocals when its convient for your work schedule! 

50-hrs mentoring  8 x 6.5 days

75-hrs mentoring  8 x 9.5 days

100-hrs mentoring 12.5 days

LEGAL AMP I, II & III,

are 5-hour, 10-class each of mentoring giving students the necessary time to absorb and assimilate the Legal language, protocols knowledge necessary in the legal system. 

Students will be given a certificate of mentoring hours for all events, labs, and mentoring.

Additionally, continued mentoring will be offered during actual interpreting assignments to AMP's graduate students
