Hello! I am always thrilled to meet students that are learning sign language and training to become sign language interpreters. I am invited regulary by sign language instructors to come and speak to you a little bit about life after your ITP.

I have a workshop called "Building a Bridge between an ITP and the Deaf community. It's a really good workshop and will help you to begin to get an idea how based on your skill level when, how and where you are ready to begin interpreting in the Deaf community.

A word of encouragement, No one was born an interpreter, some of us may have been born with Deaf parents, and so we had what I will call a "quick start" We grew up visual, we grew up with certain instincts and knowledge about Deaf Culture and Deaf Community. 

We to had to learn vocabulary and we had to learn how to process English into ASL, no one was born ready equipped to be an interpreter. We all had to learn just like you. If we can do it you can do it too. 

Ez2B Workshops are designed to educate you on becoming a qualified, professional interpreter. When you are certified, you will need CEUs, continuing education units to maintain your certification. All of the Ez2B workshops offer CEUs, unless back by popular demand. The reason for this is, it takes 45 days to apply and receive CEUs and sometimes, groups of people will want to take a specific workshop and they are not certified interpreters and do not need CEUs yet.

Note: There is a $10.00 charge for an Observation for ITP students. The observation is two hours and by appointment only.

All workshops are full and all seats are reserved. Please email your request to observe, 7 days prior to the Ez2B workshop and bring your college sign off paper and the email confirmation to the workshops to  Love2ASL@yahoo.com

5:45-7:15pm is our Conversational ASL class. We focus on building your vocabulary and asl structure.

7:30pm-9pm is our Advanced Conversational ASL class. We focus on asl visualized and siging skills.

Keep your siging skill up while summer, spring, and winter breaks leave you without a class.
