FIRST! 

1) YOU MUST HAVE A CURRENT AUDIOLOGIST"S VERIFICATION OF HEARING LOSS.

2) YOU MUST HAVE 8 HOURS OF ETHICS TRAINING ON THE RID CODE OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT.

3) YOU MUST HAVE 8 HOURS OF TRAINING ON THE ROLE AND FUNCTION OF A DEAF INTERPRETER.

After submitting the above 3 items to RID, you will be allowed to take the WRITTEN Test.

After you pas the written test you qualify to sit for the Performance test. (Interpreting) 

The Written Test has 4 Areas you must know

I) Professional Roles and Responsibilities. (A-L)

II) Preparation for Service Delivery. (A-M)

III) Provision of Service. (A-L)

IV) Post-Service Closure. (A-L)

YOU MUST PASS THE WRITTEN TEST BEFORE YOU CAN APPLY FOR THE PERFORMANCE TEST.
