Week: 1,  will be mentee/interpreter orientation and guidelines a 8-hour class, on a Saturday or Sunday as collectively agreed on.  There will only be 3 mentees per 12 week training period.

We will review the 10-week, course materials notebook. For those of you who have paid, You will be making notes on the pages in your notebook about, vocabulary, techniques, and ASL concepts. 

There will be no surprises because the notebook contains everything that we will need for the interpreting assignment.

The next 10-weeks, Dr Seshie usually has dinner at a resturant across the street from where we will meet. At this time you will be given the location in the Anaheim-Fullerton area.

We will arrived at 6:45pm-8:45pm, and for the first half-hour, you will meet with Dr. Seshie and review the topic for that evenings assignment and during the second half,  you will observe. The DV Personal Empowerment Program has a rotating system, so if when a person joins the program and they are reviewing week 6, we begin at week 6 and continue a full rotation and end at week 5. 

Each week to allow the mentees a warm up period, Dr. Seshie interpret for 15 min. After the initial warm up period, she will provide you with positive strengths and areas that need to be strengthened.  During this time you will be rotating among the 3 mentees. You will not be required to rotate in on the first assignment day, you may observe the first meeting, after that you will participate for at least 5-15 minutes.  You may rotate in and out as often as you need. Dr. Seshie will be there teaming with you and assisting you whenever you need.

Week: 12, we will meet debrief and eat on me!

We will celebrate and debrief our past 12 weeks!!!
